Weekly Epistle

United Benefice e-pistle

For week beginning

Sunday 28th May 2017

Easter 2017

‘Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one.

John 17 v11b

Thought for the week: ‘Jesus prays for His disciples’

‘Jesus knew that life would not be easy for his disciples so he prayed for their protection. When life gets hard for us, it is easy to be filled with doubt and lack trust in the Lord. In his darkest moments, Jesus prayed for his followers. May we remember that Jesus is with us and for us when life gets tough. After all, Jesus has experienced all our suffering.’

Pray:

·        For personal renewal in the Holy Spirit – and inspiration to follow Jesus on the right pathway.

·        For our life together and our mission.

·        For an end to the war in Syria.

·        For Christians serving the Lord in tough places -especially for Christians in Egypt, Pakistan & Syria.
