Use of Methodist premises by other faiths

It is not possible for Methodist premises to be used by other faiths for the purpose of worship.  This has been the subject of considerable discussion over the years, and legal opinion has been sought on two occasions.  A paper explaining the context for this and the various debates held over many years was written by Elizabeth Harris in 2016.  Theology and the Use of Farnham Royal Churches premises

This does not prevent buildings being hired to other faiths for other purposes, e.g. hosting meetings that do not constitute worship.
